HOT CHICKEN TAKEOVER PARTNERSHIP WITH RUN DOWN THE DEMONS FUNDS RESTORATIVE YOGA PROGRAM FOR VETERANS

Restaurant donates proceeds from shirt program to Run Down the Demons

Columbus, OH – Hot Chicken Takeover (HCT) and Run Down the Demons (RDtD), a local non-profit that advocates for education, awareness, and research to support complications that veterans and their families might be facing, partnered to create a limited-edition Army green shirt. HCT pledged to donate $5 from every shirt sold to RDtD. The program’s conclusion in December has netted positive results.

Shirt sales were strong enough to support the launch of a yoga and wellness program RDtD has created to help female veterans.

“Statistics show that female veterans have a unique set of challenges when returning to civilian life, so in addition to our regular programming, we’re excited to launch something for our sisters-in-arms,” notes Winter. “The partnership with Hot Chicken Takeover was not only a great way to raise money for our program, but also a great way for us to gain visibility in the community.”

Hot Chicken Takeover frequently partners with local charities to help raise awareness around the work they do.

“We let our team members submit suggestions and vote on causes and charities that align with them,” shares Hot Chicken Takeover Founder Joe DeLoss. “Run Down the Demons came on our radar because we have several team members who have served in the military or have family members who have served. This particular program not only resonated with our team, but with our customers as well.”

The t-shirt design was created by Tonic Studios in Grandview and is printed on 100% cotton Made in the USA fabric and is sold out at all HCT locations. Hot Chicken Takeover will be announcing their next t-shirt partner soon.
