HOT CHICKEN TAKEOVER LAUNCHES ONLINE ORDERING

Online Ordering available for all three HCT locations

Hot Chicken Takeover has added a new feature to help those craving spicy chicken for their next meal: online ordering launched today for all three HCT locations.

“Customers have been asking for it for quite some time and we’ve been working on it for quite some time,” jokes Hot Chicken Takeover Marketing Director, Dilara Casey.

Since the company’s launch in April of 2014, the restaurant has been making strides in their operations and technology.

“Our original customers in Olde Towne East would wait in line for two hours in the hot summer sun. We were writing orders on food boxes with a Sharpie marker. Once we moved to the North Market, we integrated technology to help us process orders faster and more accurately. Online ordering was just the next step to help us keep moving forward—and connecting with our customers in an avenue they requested,” shares Hot Chicken Takeover Founder, Joe DeLoss. “Thankfully we don’t need to buy Sharpie markers in bulk like we used to.”

But placing an order doesn’t mean you skip the line. All online orders have a minimum built-in buffer to safeguard against virtual “line jumping” and patrons still must go to the Carry Out window to pick up their order.

“If you’re planning for lunch or dinner, this is a great tool to use,” notes Casey, “but if you come into the restaurant and see a line, pulling out your phone won’t make your wait any less. It will probably end up being about the same.”

Hot Chicken Takeover’s three locations are set up for online orders. The Easton and Clintonville locations will be taking online orders for lunch and dinner with a final pick-up time at 8:30pm to accommodate their 9pm closing time. The North Market will be accepting orders with a final pick-up time at 2:30pm to accommodate their 3pm closing time.

Online ordering is available for regular food orders. Patrons placing large Party Food orders will still require a 72 hour notice. Merchandise is not available to order online—yet.

“We recognize there are customers seeking the opportunity to order Party Food and merchandise online,” shares DeLoss, “but we wanted to start with our core menu first.”
