Hot Chicken Takeover launches Pride campaign with Kaleidoscope Youth Center

The fair chance employer aims to raise $2500 for LGBTQIA+ youth

Columbus, Ohio – Hot Chicken Takeover (HCT) has announced its 2019 Pride campaign — a continued partnership with Kaleidoscope Youth Center (KYC). KYC is the largest organization in Ohio solely dedicated to serving and supporting LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies.

Last year, HCT fans helped raise over $1700 for KYC, and this year’s donation will help fund their new project — Host Home Network — which provides short-term housing to young people without a safe place to stay.

“At Hot Chicken Takeover, everyone has a seat at our table,” says Founder Joe DeLoss, “and we’re honored to celebrate alongside our LGBTQIA+ friends, team members, partners, and guests. We’re proud to continue our partnership with KYC, which began in 2014 just a few months after we opened.”

“We are grateful for the generosity of Hot Chicken Takeover,” says KYC’s Executive Director Erin Upchurch, MSSA, LISW-S, “and we are excited to continue our partnership of shared values of giving people another chance.”

For every HCT Pride t-shirt purchased, the restaurant brand will donate $5 to KYC, with a goal of raising $2500. The new shirt is available today at all three restaurant locations or online at hotchickentakeover.com.
