Hot Chicken Takeover Partners With Kaleidoscope Youth Center

Restaurant to donate proceeds from Pride shirt sales to the center

Hot Chicken Takeover is partnering with the Kaleidoscope Youth Center through a program to benefit the non-profit. Hot Chicken Takeover has produced a limited edition of PRIDE shirts for 2017, and will donate $5 from every shirt sold to the Kaleidoscope Youth Center (KYC).

“Every year we’ve created an exclusive Hot Chicken Takeover shirt for Pride and donated money to the KYC,” shares Hot Chicken Takeover Founder Joe DeLoss, “but we felt like formalizing our commitment to the center will allow them to plan for future projects more adequately.”

“Hot Chicken Takeover’s commitment to inclusiveness and community goes beyond their restaurant,” shares Kaleidoscope Youth Center Director, Amy Eldridge, “and this partnership is a prime example.”

Kaleidoscope Youth Center has earmarked the donation for their newly-formed KYC Cycle Club program. The initiative not only provides participants in the program with a bicycle, but youth will also get hands-on instruction on how to ride a bike, training on cycling laws and regulations, and tips on how to maintain their bike.

“We’ve been trying to find a way to get the KYC Cycle Club up and running,” notes Eldridge, “and the donation from the Pride shirts will definitely help us do just that.”

Shirts will be available in both Youth and Adult sizes this year. They may be purchased at the North Market location for $29 while supplies last. The Clintonville location (4203 N. High Street) is set to open later this month and will also have the shirts available while supplies last.

This year’s t-shirt design was created by Tonic Studios in Grandview.
