Hot Chicken Takeover partners with Neighborhood Alliance on food insecurity initiative

Ohio-based restaurant chain launches annual Pay it Forward program at new Crocker Park restaurant

Our HCT community has grown into Northeast Ohio this year and our annual Pay it Forward program is growing, too. At our new Crocker Park location, all proceeds will benefit our friends at Neighborhood Alliance. At all Columbus locations, we’ve partnered with Food Rescue US – Columbus for a third year in a row. Westlake, OH— Hot Chicken Takeover (HCT) is partnering with Neighborhood Alliance at their new Crocker Park location for the second time this year, with a focus on combating food insecurity through their annual Pay it Forward program.

“Alongside our commitment to being a supportive and purposeful employer, we’re committed to being an active contributor in the communities we serve,” shares Joe DeLoss, Hot Chicken Takeover’s Founder and CEO. “Neighborhood Alliance is an extraordinary partner. The work of their team has touched so many lives across Northeast Ohio and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued partnership this holiday season.”

Between December 23-29, Hot Chicken Takeover customers will have the opportunity to add a $5 donation to their check and in return will receive a buy one meal, get one free coupon, redeemable in the month of January at their Crocker Park location. All proceeds contributed through HCT’s Pay it Forward program will be donated to Neighborhood Alliance, allowing their team to serve more meals to Northeast Ohio seniors in need through their meal delivery program.

“We provide 5 to 7 meals each week to almost 350 Seniors in Lorain County through our Senior Nutrition Home Delivered Meals program. We have a waiting list with over 400 individuals requesting meals, with 180 of those Seniors experiencing true emergency need,” stated Alicia Foss, Neighborhood Alliance President and CEO.

As a part of their Ho Ho Home Delivered Meals campaign, Neighborhood Alliance is planning to replace 2 trucks in their aging fleet to ensure they meet their current delivery requirements. Their team is working to potentially expand their services in the future to address these emergency needs. For more information please visit www.MyNeighborhoodAlliance.org

Hot Chicken Takeover’s Pay it Forward program has grown each year with the addition of new restaurants and partnerships, providing more than 243,537 meals through the generosity of HCT’s customers since launching at North Market in 2016. Customers are encouraged to donate at HCT’s new Crocker Park restaurant starting Monday, December 23. To learn more about their Pay it Forward program, visit hotchickentakeover.com.
