Restaurant Manager Opportunity

Team. Hustle. Ownership. Growth. Solutions.

Hot Chicken Takeover: Restaurant Manager Position

Hot Chicken Takeover is taking over…well, at least we’re trying. As our company is growing, and so is our team. At HCT we’re looking for a Restaurant Manager (RM) to lead the day-to-day operations at one of our restaurants.

ABOUT HCT
Just under 3 years ago, we started selling Nashville-style hot chicken out of a window in Olde Towne East — we did it every weekend for an entire summer and fall. From there, we opened up on the second floor of the historic North Market downtown. By the end of 2017, we will have three fully-operational locations plus our food truck.

Aside from great chicken, we’re also a Fair Chance employer — this means we judge our applicants by their future plans, not their past. We live by our five values; Team, Hustle, Ownership, Growth and Solutions.

The Restaurant Manager’s success will be based on the ability to perform the following duties:

  • Maintain Day-to-Day Restaurant Operations: Ensuring all shifts run smoothly is a primary responsibility of this role. The RM will be in charge of creating and maintaining the crew schedule, training crew members, and supporting the Party Food program. Bonus points if you have worked with Hot Schedules, QSR Online and/or Brink.
  • Inventory Management and Control: Candidates must be able to manage both food, paper, and merchandise inventory. This includes weekly ordering, trouble-shooting shortages during unexpected peak times, and using forecasting models and tools provided by the company. Special consideration if you’ve managed P&L statements or worked with inventory control systems.
  • Operational Support: The General Manager of the restaurant will lean on the RM to make sure food and labor targets are met, provide support for onboarding new crew members, and ensure safety and food regulations are met at their restaurant. Additionally, the RM will handle special projects on an as-needed basis. Extra consideration if you have been ServSafe certified and/or have understanding of Ohio Health Code requirements.
