HOT CHICKEN TAKEOVER TO HOLD OCTOBER 2 EASTON HIRING EVENT

Fair Chance Employer Hosting Hiring Event October 2nd

Columbus, OH – Hot Chicken Takeover owner Joe DeLoss has seen his company’s headcount grow five times over in 2017, and for the final few months of the year he is not letting up on the gas.

“We have over 100 positions we’re looking to fill by November,” comments DeLoss. Closing the gap on that number will mean his restaurant chain will go from 35 employees to over 200 by the end of the year.

To meet that staffing need, the fried chicken restaurant is hosting a Hiring Event to fill crew and management positions.

Date:

Monday, October 2, 2017

Time:

7am-10am and 4pm-6pm

Location:

4175 Weaverton Lane (in the former Payless Shoe store inside the Easton Gateway)

Details:

  • Must be 18+
  • Applicants are required to pass a drug screening and background check
  • Ability to lift 25lbs

Hot Chicken Takeover is a Fair Chance employer, meaning they offer consideration to everybody—including folks who have a criminal record, who have suffered from homelessness, or who have other symptoms of instability that make it difficult to obtain a job. “Once we hire a candidate, we make sure we do things to keep them engaged—like offering a matched savings program for certain life-stabilizing milestones as a benefit, or transportation support like providing bus passes. We even help employees get access to the Furniture Bank.”

But these benefits are not the only things that attract candidates.

“Our team members start out making between $11 and $13 an hour,” adds Human Resources Coordinator Linda Coleman. “Between our hourly wage and tip share program, we feel the pay is competitive and attractive.”

No previous restaurant experience is required, but value alignment is.

“We hire people based on character more than experience. We can teach people how to fry chicken, but we can’t teach people how to buy in to our culture,” remarks Coleman.

In addition to the crew member positions, the company is also looking to fill Restaurant Manager positions as well. The management opportunities are for both the Easton and Clintonville locations and are salaried positions.

For candidates unable to attend the Hiring Event, they are encouraged to apply at www.hctjobs.com
