New York, NY – On Thursday, October 19, Hot Chicken Takeover is slated to appear during the 9:00am hour on Megyn Kelly TODAY.
“We’re grateful to be able to share our story on a national platform like this,” shares Hot Chicken Takeover’s Founder, Joe DeLoss.
The segment will feature DeLoss and two HCT employees, slated to talk about the rapid growth the company has been experiencing and the benefits of their employment model.
Hot Chicken Takeover is a Fair Chance employer, meaning they offer consideration to everybody—including folks who have a criminal record, who have suffered from homelessness, or who have other symptoms of instability that make it difficult to obtain a job.
“Our company is strong because our team is strong,” notes DeLoss, “and being able to shine a spotlight on the tremendous work they’ve done is unbelievable when you think about where we started just a couple of years ago.”
Hot Chicken Takeover started as a pop-up shop in Olde Towne East, held a Kickstarter to finance a food truck, and eventually landed on the second story of the North Market. In 2016, the company sought investors to fund expansion and opened two new restaurants in 2017 as a result.
The segment for the TODAY show includes footage and interviews shot last week in their North Market location and will include a live interview with DeLoss and two crew members.
