On National Fried Chicken Day, Columbus came out in droves.
We weren’t sure if it was because everybody wanted to see an epic wing-eating contest at each of our locations. Like the one where Nina West took the crown at North Market. Or the contest where JJ Sullinger won the Clintonville title. Perhaps, it was the contest where Andrew Buck Michael threw back the most wings at Easton.
Either way, you showed up for us, and we’re grateful for that.
Each wing-eating contest winner had 2,000 meals donated in their name to Food Rescue US, an organization focused on alleviating local hunger. We pledged to donate $1 from each meal you purchased that day to them as well.
As a community, we were able to raise 40,120 meals to Central Ohio residents in need. That’s tremendous impact right here in our back yard. Thank you.
We hope you had fun celebrating with us, we sure had fun with you.
