HOT CHICKEN TAKEOVER OFFERS $5 MEAL ON FRIDAY APRIL 6

Restaurant chain celebrates fourth birthday with special offer

Hot Chicken Takeover (HCT) is celebrating their fourth year in style.

The local restaurant chain, which has three locations in Central Ohio, is offering one of their most popular meals at a special price in celebration of their fourth birthday. The Drumstick Meal will be $5 on Friday, April 6 only. Waffles, which are typically only available on Saturdays and Sundays, will also be available that day as part of the celebration.

“These last four years, the community has been tremendously supportive, so we wanted to do something special for them,” comments Hot Chicken Takeover Founder, Joe DeLoss. “This felt like an appropriate way to extend our gratitude.”

Hot Chicken Takeover originally started on April 6, 2014 as a pop-up concept in Olde Towne East and was only open on the weekends. In these early days, HCT intentionally ran out of chicken to minimalize food waste.

“We feel our projections have gotten better over the years,” jokes DeLoss, “but we’re putting in a few safeguards for this program to ensure we’ll have plenty of chicken.”

Each restaurant will also have their own in-store celebrations with balloons and birthday cake.

The $5 Drumstick Meal is only available for orders placed in the restaurant; online and call-ahead orders do not qualify for the discount. The deal is limited to 4 meals per person. The Drumstick Meal includes a side of Ma’s Mac and Ma’s Slaw, customers can choose from any of the four available heat levels. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer or discount.
